Temple Sha’arey Shalom is excited to announce our New Religious School Pilot Program!

Beginning this fall, we will be offering In Person Hebrew School & Sunday School at Congregation B’nai Israel in Millburn.

When you enroll your child(ren) in our Religious School Program, you will also receive a Family Membership to Temple Sha’arey Shalom at No Additional Cost…(You read that right)

Here's how our Religious Program will work:

1️⃣ Hebrew school- 3:30-5:00 pm on Thursday afternoons, in person at Congregation B’nai Israel

✅ Thursdays are dedicated to Hebrew
✅ Students will learn to sing and chant the prayers to our melodies before they learn to read them.
✅ Private tutoring for each student, at least once a week over zoom at a time that is comfortable for your child and your family

2️⃣ Sunday School – 9:30-12:00, in person at Congregation B’nai Israel

✅ Collaborative enriching Judaic program created by Rabbi Renee Edelman and TBI’s educator Rabbi Julie Schwarzwald.
✅ Curriculum is based on same traditions at both Congregations Family education
✅ Meaningful Creative projects for each grade level- (hand blown Mezzuzot)
✅ Camp Hebrew songs taught by a Songleader
✅ Tefillah created and led by both Rabbis and Songleader using Jewish Camp melodies
✅ Staff will consist of 3 teachers from Temple Sha'arey Shalom and 3 teachers from Temple B’nai Israel
✅ Pilot program for a year

Our New Program provides Flexibility, Communal Time, & the Perfect Opportunity to Meet New Friends…PLUS, Additional Hebrew Tutoring for Each Child.
