Salute to Veterans 5k and Fun Run
Comprised of members from the New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association (NJPBSA), the New Jersey State Fraternal Order of Police (NJSFOP), the New Jersey State Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association (NJFMBA), the New Jersey American Legion, the New Jersey Veterans of Foreign Wars (NJVFW), and various other military and first responder organizations, the New Jersey Veterans Network (NJVN) is dedicated to helping our veterans and their families live a better life, and creating a system of Community Veteran Liaisons (CVL) whose role is to identify veterans and connect them with resources and programs designed to meet their unique set of needs.
The New Jersey Veteran’s Network, in conjunction with Temple Sha’arey Shalom, Union County, and the Township of Springfield, invite you to support the New Jersey Veteran’s Network by sponsoring in the Union County 3rd Annual Salute to Veterans 5K, Fun Run & Military Ruck.
Following the race, we encourage all participants to stay for the Springfield Fall Festival and Car Show. This is a family friendly street fair and classic car show event with cash prizes.
There will be plenty of attractions for the kids which include pony rides, a petting zoo and inflatables which are also free. Local food vendors will be joined by festival food vendors offering a wide variety of food and treats.
