Mommy and Me

Mommy and Me is a program designed for children ages 6 weeks through 18 months and their parents/caregivers. Each hour-long session is filled with experiences and activities including songs, games, sensory experiences, baby sign language, and more things that babies love to do. Resources for parents/caregivers will be available to help parents/caregivers maximize their experience with their baby.

Jr. Preschool

Jr. Preschool offers both part-time and full time options from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Children from 14 months to 3 years old participate in an engaging setting that stimulates their ever-present thirst for knowledge, and knowing “why” and “how” things in the world around them are the way they are. Opportunities for hands-on learning help them discover something new each day. A variety of activities offering language and communication, social and cognitive development, creative and physical development will help them build confidence and skills…readying them for their next challenge, Preschool.

Preschool

Preschool classes meet either full time or part time from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Our 3 to 4 year olds enjoy a curriculum that is theme-based and organized to challenge skills, and foster self-direction and confidence. Each unit cross-incorporates experiences within the early childhood learning spectrum: language and literacy, math and science, creative arts and music, motor skills and social development, and technology. Children enjoy their improved social skills and engage in small and large group activities, while continuing to challenge themselves independently.

Pre-K

Pre-K classes welcome children either full time or part time from 9:00 a.m. – noon. Prekindergarten is an important final step before going on to Kindergarten. As we continue to lead the children along their path to lifelong learning, we encourage greater independence, while maintaining a caring and nurturing environment. Children are able to challenge themselves and be their own thinkers in an environment that feels safe. Daily experiences include opportunities for building pre-reading and pre-writing skills (letter recognition and sounds, beginning writing skills,) basic pre-math skills (sorting, matching, classifying,) creative arts and music, and science and technology (predicting, testing, drawing conclusions.) There is the option for children to attend the Walton Elementary afternoon Pre-K, and be transported by school bus.
