Adult Education

Temple Sha’arey Shalom prides itself on our Adult Ed programming, from classes with the Rabbi and the Cantor, to special speakers and musical guests. On Shabbat morning there is an adult Torah study (look under services). The  Rabbi has been teaching the HafTarah potion for the week using the Women’s Haftarah commentary. Cantor teaches classes around music history- this year he taught a class on Dylan and other icons of the 60’s and 70’s and their influence on Jewish music. Our guests have been poets, authors, historians, speakers on current events, Jewish composers and Jewish Broadway and so much more.
